Live Online Violin Lessons

Franklin Foster offers live online violin lessons via Skype to help you improve your violin skills. Skype can be downloaded here. He also teaches in-person at his studio. If you are interested, please contact Franklin for an appointment. He teaches classical violin, the techniques of which can be transferred to any genre of music.

Please adhere to these guidlines:

• All lesson fees are due one month in advance payable by check or through PayPal (for online lessons). You do not need a PayPal membership to use the payment services.
• There is a free twenty minute consultation before formal lessons begin. Internet connections and sound will be checked, and individual goals discussed.
• It's recommended that students take weekly lessons.
• Please be punctual. It's important that lessons begin and end on time.
• If you have to miss a lesson for any reason, please give 24 hours advance notice.
• If there is an internet connection problem, the lesson will be rescheduled or the lost time added to the next lesson.
• There are no lesson refunds. If the lesson is missed for any reason, it will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed upon time.
• Please consult with Franklin before purchasing a new instrument or having your instrument repaired.
• If you choose to discontinue your lessons, please give one month's notice.
• Practising is a must for improvement. It is recommended that a student practice at least six days per week. The length of practice should at least equal the length of the weekly lesson.

Franklin Foster's teaching studio is located in Dana Point, California. However, if lessons are conducted online, there are obviously no distance restrictions.Teaching online is preferred.

Lessons via Skype require a computer equipped with webcam, microphone, and a broadband connection to the internet.

Skype is free and is usable with Mac, Windows, and Linux systems.

Price per lesson: 30 minutes/$50 | 45 minutes/$70 | 60 minutes/$90.

All levels of ability are welcome (beginners to advanced).
